Failed with ISO
Purchased this to download an ISO and the program failed.
It Works!
Tried many others to unrar huge 5gb .rar and this program did it beautifully. I bought right away. It does’t get better than this. Great Job!!!!
I needed to extract a .tar.xz file, so I started RAR Extractor Star and pulled down "FIle" -> "Open...". I browsed to the right directory and saw the .tar.xz file, but it was grey and could not be selected. Fortunately, I was able to go into Finder and double-click the .tar.xz file. That brought up RAR Extractor Star, and I was able to extract.
Doesn’t work
I purchased it because the free version told me that, to open a multi-part archive (zip), I needed to download this. It said the same message as the free version, about not being able to open the files…
Worked as intended
I initially had a problem where the app would disappear after I entered the password for my 7-zip file that I selected, but after reinstalling the app, I had no issues in opening my previous encrypted 7-zip files. The apps creates a menu option that appears when you right click on a zip file which makes it convenient to use without using the app finder to open it first before using it.
Quite problematic lately
Almost every file I download that needs to be extracted yields an error. Was working just fine and even after an update its still messing up

Does what it says it does
Simple, automatic extraction of RAR files. Just double click on the file, tell your Mac to use this to open all files of that type, and you’re good to go.
Doesn’t work
I’ve deleted the app, I can’t contact any type of support, and I’m getting charged monthly. How do I get this to stop???This app did not work for me and now I’m being charged monthly without anyway of cancelling or deleting the app. Be sure you really want/need this. You will be stuck with it!

This the best unarchiver I’ve ever used. Not a lot of bells and whistles. It just does what I need it to do.
Really Simple
I upgraded from the free version. I paid, it installed, I dropped my file inside the window and 5 seconds later it was done. It just works.

I tried to download an exe file and it directed me to download this app and spend my hard earned $3.99. After several tries and different attempts, this app has proved useless. Imagine what I could have bought instead of this poorly designed and coded app.

Easy Rar
Easy to use Rar compression. Very light weight, easy on system, and it is FAST. I would recommend it. It needs a preview of files in the package feature to earn that 5th star.

Doesn’t extract .exe and error isn’t helpful
I was trying to extract an exe that was full of windows drivers. The free version sent me to but this version. I did and this version does nothing but give me an unhelpful error.
A Top-Notch product for larger files.
Just as the tile of this review says. I regularly work with large amounts of files and/or larger filetypes for multiple projects - and RAR Extractor - Unarchiver handles everything smoothly! Of course, I definitely got more bang for my buck in upgrading to the Pro version. Five stars and a applause from me!
SIMPLE & EFFECTIVE
Just like the Title says, Sometimes you just want the thing you bought to just do what it says it does without jumping through hoops. RAR Extractor does just that.

Works Perfectly
I was getting a “greyed out” option when trying to unpack MacOSX installer until I selected a new directory. In my case, selecting the desktop did the trick. It was not obvious for me to select a new directory but I am glad I figured it out.

I'm trying to download Hatch Emboridery on my Mac. It is not working. I keep getting alerts to download RAR and I've done so and paid. I keep moving the item over and it still won't open. I wish there were directions to say click xyz then click here for your proram to open.
